I bought the car in summer 2003 for $700 in Defiance, Iowa with no motor or tranny. I threw together a mild 350 and TH350 and replaced the broken 10-bolt BOP rear with a '68 12-bolt Positraction. I drove it that way for about a year. After taking a job with Holley in Bowling Green, KY, I installed fuel Injection, a roller cam, and nitrous. The car has been 11.30s @ 117 in the 1/4. Now the body work begins. I haven't touched anything on the rusty body yet. I've got all the necessary sheet metal to restore the body (quarters, floors, trunk, doors, fenders, and hood AKA everything!). I did a small amount of interior work myself to get things going. I've installed the correct buckets and picked up a stick console for the day when a Tremec 5 speed swap becomes financially feasible.
